Christopher James Malloy also known as C. Malloy and MrCaptainHooks was born November 10,1988 in Irvington, NJ. The name MrCaptainHooks came about because of the creativity and delivery that he brings to his lyrics and songs. At the age of five he started singing at church in the children and adult choir up until the age of seventeen. In 2007 at the age of eighteen is when he actually started pursuing singing outside of church by song writing and recording in the studio.Growing up great musicians such as Al green, luther vandross, sam cook, musiq soulchild and pattie labelle etc. have influenced him because of the body of work they have produced and most importantly they represented soul music. This being one of the many reasons why singing R&B is his passion. Growing up in a church oriented background and his father being a gospel singer music has always been instilled in him. As he got older R&B began to really stand out. The things that sets c.malloy apart from a lot of artist is that other artist tend to focus on a certain audience or topic. Where as he more so focuses on every aspect of his audience to where they can understand, feel, appreciate and relate to his music, he makes it his business to provide a wide range of music. Further into the future c.malloy sees him-self still producing good quality music for the people making sure they enjoy and receive what is need from his music giving the fans all of him.
